Dohn Construction Teams Up with MyCycle
At Dohn Construction, we love building more than just projects—we love building community. Recently, we proudly sponsored an event with MyCycle, a program from Bike Fort Collins, helping second graders at Bauder Elementary receive new bikes and helmets. Our support helped fund the bikes, and our team spent the day putting them together, fitting helmets, and helping each student find their perfect ride. Watching the kids’ faces light up reminded us why programs like this are so important.
“This was my first time participating in this event, and it was such a rewarding experience. Seeing the kids’ excitement when they received their bikes and helmets was unforgettable. It reminded me that even small contributions—like putting together a bike—can make a big difference in a child’s day and give them a sense of independence and joy,” said Kristina Mondock, our Senior Estimator.
“Being part of the day was amazing. Helping put the bikes together and making sure each kid’s helmet fit properly gave me a chance to see the excitement up close.” said Jaymz Garza, our Equipment Technician and Coordinator.
For Chris Augusto, our Director of Marketing and Business Development, the day hit close to home.
“Giving these kids a bike means giving them freedom—the chance to explore, play, and create their own adventures. I still remember my first bike, a Huffy with front and back pegs, cruising around the neighborhood. It’s amazing to help make that same joy possible for a new generation,” he shared.
Partnering and participating in this event allowed us to make a meaningful impact on local youth—helping kids gain independence, joy, and the simple freedom of being a kid. We’re proud to be able to give back to the communities in which we work.
