Dohn Construction Raises over $36,000 at Annual Charity Golf Tournament to Support Local Food Banks
Dohn Construction is proud to announce that our annual Dohn Charity Golf Tournament, held at Highland Meadows Golf Course, raised $36,500 this year to benefit three organizations: Food Bank for Larimer County, Weld Food Bank, and Food Bank of the Rockies.
Thanks to the presenting sponsor, Pierson Concrete, and all who joined us, the tournament was a chance to connect with our partners, clients, and friends all while giving back. Each year, our team members vote to choose the beneficiary, and this year they selected three food banks making a direct impact in the fight against hunger across Northern Colorado and the Front Range.
This year’s tournament also coincided with Hunger Action Month, a nationwide effort each September to raise awareness about food insecurity and take action to help those facing hunger in our communities.
“Our team members and network never fail to impress us,” said Stephanie Dohn, COO of Dohn Construction. “Raising $36,500 for such an important cause reflects the generosity of our people and our network. It shows the power of coming together to make a real difference in our community.”
“Getting to golf and give back at the same time is about as good as it gets,” said Jake Pierson, President of Pierson Concrete. “We’re grateful to be part of an event where everyone has fun and the end result is helping put food on tables for families who need it.”
The donation will help the three food banks continue their mission of supplying nutritious meals to individuals and families who need them most.
The Dohn Charity Golf Tournament has become a signature event for the company. Since its inception, the tournament has raised nearly $400,000 to support community efforts across Northern Colorado and the Front Range.
